Good Morning All,
Recently, I have decided to not blog daily on this site. I will be posting different sorts of posts, more like commentaries, I suppose, on Zen practice and Buddhist Sutras. I will do these as I can.
I have been writing this blog daily for a year now and I really need to break away from the habit of going to the computer first thing in the morning to write.
I still blog at my Yahoo 360 site, however, and those notes are more of a personal, day-to-day nature.
If interested, go to Yahoo 360 and type in my Yahoo ID, buddhist99
Be well.

Thank you very much for the time you've taken to provide these insights in the past year. I've found this blog to be a source of joy and challenges.

Dear Sodaiho Roshi,
While I only discovered your Zen site less than a month ago, it has become a daily part of my wife, Rebecca's, and my day-to-day. And, so, your daily posts will be missed.
However, as someone who has also been keeping a blog for over a year, now, I wholeheartedly recognize your own recognition of the perhaps rather unmindful habit of going to the computer first thing each morning to write a blog post.
I have wrestled with this tension since starting my iNoodle.com blog in October 2005, and in starting my new blog, Mindful Living Guide, earlier this month.
I keep coming to the conclusion that a daily, original piece of writing is unworkable, even despite best intentions of doing so mindfully. So, with both of my blogs, I tend to post a combination of third-party content -- but which I know readers find worthwhile, and which can also take considerable time to research, source and type out -- and original writings as I am inspired to write them.
And, although I try to post on a regular basis, I don't make a daily post an absolute priority. A good thing about blogs is that many readers will continue to stumble upon and gain value from your blog posts via Google, and other such, search requests. So, content needn't be recent to be of value.
At any rate, thank you for your year's worth of daily posts, usefully archived for posterity. We'll look out for your more commentary-oriented pieces as you have the time and inspiration to write and post them; and, I will continue to feature your "Zen" news-feed on my Mindful Living Guide site.
In peace and mindful harmony ...
